Reece and Nichols

1. Personal Interview: An interview with a Branch Manager can help with direction of the overall process and decisions concerning your development.

2. Kansas - 30 hour Pre-License Course. Missouri - 60 hour Pre-License Course. Anyone seeking a sales associate's license must complete a pre-license course. The cost varies from approximately $200 to $345. We will be happy to provide you with the course locations and schedules. A certificate of successful completion of this course is required to work as a license sales associate.

3. State License Exam: Kansas and Missouri both require the completion of a state Salesperson's exam.

4. Application for the License: After successful completion of the exam you will make application for license. The form for this is in the packet you receive from the school with your passing certificate. The completed application, passing certificate and required checks payable to the state real estate commission are to be sent to the commission. You have 90 days from the test to apply for your license. Should you receive a "failed" notice, you may retake the exam.

5. Business Plan: After completing the above steps, you should met with your branch Manager to prepare for actual business. The post license and sales and marketing training w/ill be arranged at this time.

6. ExSell Training: This Course covers the sales and marketing fundamentals of real estate.

7. Post-License Course: Kansas requires a 30 hour Post-License Course. Missouri requires a 12 hour Post-License Course. Reece & Nichols provides the Post-Licensing training.

8. Receipt of your Salespersons License: You will be notified by your branch manager when your license arrives. At this time you will need to meet with your manager to discuss an action plan, income goals, and complete some required paperwork.

9. Application to the Board of Realtors: Board policies require new licensees to make Membership application with 30 days of becoming licensed. Board dues, which include MLS fees, and an application fee will be required at this time.
